For the second year in a row, Torusoft has sponsored Bridgeway Academy's annual fundraising event, Dancing for Our Stars, taking place this year on September 21, at the Cunard Centre in Halifax.

Each year, Dancing for Our Stars pairs community leaders with dance coaches and seasoned partners. After months of practice, each contestant showcases their newly acquired skills on the dance floor, winning votes in the form of donations to Bridgeway Academy. It's a memorable evening filled with entertainment, humour and generosity, for a worthy cause we're proud to support.

Last year, Torusoft produced a fresh website design, with a real-time leaderboard, contestant profiles and social media integration as an in-kind sponsorship. This year, we've taken things a step further.

Torusoft is pleased to be named Digital Sponsor for Dancing For Our Stars 2013. As part of this sponsorship, we have completely revamped the event's online presence. Building on last year's sponsorship, the new event website features a fresh, responsive design that will scale well to smartphone and tablet screens. It features even deeper integrations with social media services like Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and Vimeo to promote sharing and interaction. And, perhaps most meaningfully, real-time donations are now facilitated directly on the event website, allowing donors to make an immediate impact wherever they are -- including at the event itself.

We hope this will add to the excitement on the night of the event, as dancers pull out all the stops for those last-minute donations. We invite businesses in the region to consider joining us in making an in-kind sponsorship, or to support Bridgeway Academy by attending Dancing for Our Stars in September.

The donations received by Bridgeway each year allow them to fund students with learning disabilities who might otherwise be unable to attend the school. Your contributions will ensure that fewer students slip through the cracks, and will help children get access to the support they need to achieve their learning goals.

We hope you'll join us at the event in September.
